BMUSF may request and/or collect information from you on a voluntary basis when you register for an event. The requested information may include personal information such as name, e-mail address, telephone number, home address and business address.  Billing information including credit card number, credit card billing address, and expiration date are collected to process payment for event registrations.  Credit card numbers are entered on a server secured using SSL encryption.

Whenever you interact with our website, we automatically receive and record information from your browser including your IP address, "cookie" information, and the page you requested.

  4. Web site usage data helps improve how the site works.

We currently don’t respond to  “Do Not Track” browser setting from browsers visiting this web site.

Who has access to the information we collect?

In addition to BMUSF, our third-party service providers also have access to the information that we collect, but this access is limited. BMUSF employs third-party service providers to perform functions on our behalf, including credit card payment processors and online form processors. In addition, before BMUSF engages any third-party service provider, BMUSF confirms that the provider has a reasonable privacy policy in place to protect your information.

How long is information kept?

BMUSF only collects, retains and uses personal information where we believe it is essential to host events, and promote the mission of our organization and the interests of those who have attended our events. We will take appropriate reasonable steps to ensure the security and integrity and timely and proper disposal of any personal information collected until it is discarded when no longer needed.

Collection of Information

BMUSF will collect and use information obtained from credit card transactions only for business purposes. The main purpose is for collecting registration and golf fees for its biennial seminar and golf tournament. 

Protecting Your Credit Card Information

The credit card information provided by you to BMUSF when you pay your registration fee online, will be stored in encrypted format on a secure server hosted by authorize.net. Our board has no access to credit card information.

Disclosure of Your Information 

BMUSF does not disclose any nonpublic information (such as credit card number and their expiration dates) about our customers or former customers to anyone, except as required by law. We disclose information only when it is necessary for the conduct of College, State or Federal government business, or under circumstances where disclosure is required by law. Information may also be disclosed for audit purposes, to regulatory agencies or for other general administrative services. We do not disclose information about you to other entities who may want to sell their products to you.

Transaction Security 

The BMUSF website uses Authorize.Net to ensure transaction security.  The BMUSF website does not collect, transmit, or store sensitive cardholder information to process transactions.  Customer payment information is collected on a secure, form hosted on the Authorize.net servers.   Authorize.Net handles all the steps in the secure transaction process.

You may have the right to access, update, change or delete personal information by emailing info@bmusf.org and and requesting a change.  BMUSF will take reasonable efforts to implement any changes requested.

You can also elect not to receive marketing communications by following the unsubscribe instruction in such communications.

BMUSF may revise this policy.  BMUSF will provide you with notice of any change to this policy by posting a notice on the website.
